Week of 9/9 to 13/9 and Lesson 4 Printout
🌟 What a Fantastic Week We Had! 🌟
Hey there, Superstars!
Wow, what an AMAZING week we’ve had in second grade! Here’s a quick look at all the awesome things we’ve been up to:
📚 Phonics Fun: This week, we dove into the world of long vowel sounds. We learned how the letters a, and i can say their names, like in “cake,” “tree,” “bike,” “boat,” and “tune.” We practiced stretching out these vowel sounds and had so much fun finding words with long vowels!
📝 Grammar Time: We got to know the “be” verbs, like am, is, and are. We used them to describe who we are and what we are doing. For example, “I am learning” and “She is reading.” It’s amazing how these little words help us make sentences!
➕ Math Magic: We worked on addition this week! We practiced adding numbers and finding the answers with our math superpowers. Plus, we had some cool games and challenges that made math even more exciting! Some even got to cheer for our classmates.
🌈 Science Exploration: In science, we explored light and shadows. We learned how light can make shadows and how different objects create different shapes. It was like magic seeing how the sunlight and our flashlights could make shadows dance!
✏️ Writing Homework: And guess what? We’re super excited about our writing homework this week! We get to write a paragraph about the Moon Festival. It’s a great chance to share our thoughts and practice putting our ideas into words. Can’t wait to see all your fantastic paragraphs!
That’s all for now, but stay tuned for more fun next week. Keep up the great work, and remember: you’re all amazing!
Until next time,
Mr. Jose
