Exploring Week 4 in Second Grade at Lih-Jen International School (Important information at the very end)


Introduction: Welcome to another exciting week in the second grade at Lih-Jen International School! In this week's blog post, we'll take a closer look at all the fantastic learning experiences and activities that filled our fourth week of the school year.

Grammar Adventures: Our week started off with a deep dive into the world of grammar. Second graders at Lih-Jen International School explored the proper use of "a" and "an" in sentences. This was an essential step in building strong language skills. We also tackled plural nouns and learned about those tricky irregular nouns like "children" and "geese." It's amazing to see how our language can bend and adapt!

Math Mastery: In the world of mathematics, our young scholars took on the challenge of adding three-digit numbers. This skill is a crucial foundation for more complex mathematical concepts in the future. Our students showed their determination and problem-solving skills in this exciting math adventure.

Spelling Bee-Style Fun: This week, we had a blast with a spelling activity that was reminiscent of a spelling bee. It's always exhilarating to put our spelling skills to the test in a competitive yet friendly environment. Our second graders are definitely spelling superstars!

Science Exploration: In our science class, we wrapped up our exploration of light and shadows. Understanding the properties of light and how it interacts with objects is not only fascinating but also an essential part of our scientific education. We conducted exciting experiments that left us in awe of the world of optics.

Field Trip to Yehliu Ocean World: The highlight of our week was an unforgettable field trip to Yehliu Ocean World. Exploring the wonders of the ocean and its inhabitants firsthand was an experience like no other. From colorful fish to mysterious sea creatures, our second graders were captivated by the beauty and diversity of marine life. The trip was filled with awe-inspiring moments and educational insights.

Conclusion: The fourth week of the second grade at Lih-Jen International School was truly packed with excitement and learning. From mastering grammar concepts to tackling three-digit addition, our students showed their determination and enthusiasm for knowledge.
